UK Rail Network - Growth Projections to 2050

 

Current research reveals that the rail network will, by 2050, be desperate for the additional capacity provided by the Peaks and Dales line. Research from the respected industry provider, Steer Group, is today reported on by the Rail Industry Assocation:

 

"Steer is confident that under any scenario rail demand in the UK will grow beyond today’s network, growth that government policy, rail services and operators will need to accommodate."
