We are the Project Developer and Project Sponsor for the reinstatement of the Peaks and Dales Line.
We own the feasibility study, which we have been developing for almost two years into a submitted document of almost 300 pages - demonstrating the care we have taken in considering the potential solutions for the unsustainable traffic problem across the Peaks and Dales Line corridor.
We have achieved that in a cost-effective way, promoting the Better Value Rail concepts - which involves the Department for Transport, Network Rail and the Office of Rail and Road.
We are proud to have stepped forward for the communities the line will serve and benefit and are delighted that our efforts have the support of 26 Members of Parliament, along with a motion for support of the reinstatement being heard by Derbyshire County Council in May 2026.
We also have other stakeholders engaged while they wait for the study outcomes to enable them to consider their position.
We are pleased to have the support of the campaigner - Manchester and East Midlands Rail Action Partnership (MEMRAP) who promote the benefits of the reinstatement across multiple communities.
If you are interested in getting involved at a community level and wish to join MEMRAP - please use this link for more details: https://membermojo.co.uk/memrap
Our approach to the study is to be as open as possible, recognising there will always be different opinions. We feel through sharing ideas, concepts, benefits and of course concerns - we can consider all the points raised to ensure people, communities and the environment benefit from the proposed reinstatement.
We would be delighted to hear from you, and we would ask that before you do, you check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page simply because the answer you need may be there.
